Efficient Database Administration for IBM Lotus Domino®
conaex® collects numerous settings of the databases stored on your Domino servers. This includes settings that can be viewed in the Notes client as well as internal settings, which otherwise are hidden from administrators. Moreover, the system collects Access Control Lists and most properties of the databases' design elements, to the extent requested.
The collected data is stored in Notes documents and presented in numerous views. Thus, the system provides an overview of databases - including those whose existence you may not have been aware of -, their respective storage requirements, the distribution of replicas, enabled and disabled scheduled agents and their schedules, and much more.
Use conaex® to easily modify the settings and/or Access Control Lists of single or multiple databases. Do you wish to apply uniform Access Control Lists to databases belonging to the same type of application, e.g. mail? conaex® allows you to define ACL templates and to apply them to the databases in question. Do you have databases which cannot be accessed by anyone any more? With conaex® you will re-gain control.
Components and Services
At the core of the conaex offering the conaex Administration Platform is built around a server task which can be used to scan and manipulate database settings, access control lists, and design elements. The activity of the task and its results is controlled and managed by means of several Notes databases. Under the conaex Extensions label conis offers additional tools for data analyses, application control, and customer-specific requirements. Among these, the Reports Container is a powerful data analysis tool, forming the programmatic frame for the systematic evaluation of scanned data based on customized report types.

The conaex software offering is matched by the conaex Services portfolio. This includes a comprehensive application support, the coding of report types, and numerous other services that, combined with the software, can be of extremely high value to the customer.
The license model applied to the conaex software is based on the Dual Licensing idea: the Administration Platform is available under the GNU General Public License, but may also, as part of the conaex Enterprise Edition, be obtained under a commercial license including the appropriate warranty. In addition to the Administration Platform, the Enterprise Edition comprises the Reports Container and, optionally, other conaex Extensions modules.
